On April 30, Nova Arts will host a three-act lineup at Brewbakers, featuring local psychedelic folk trio Party of the Sun, Chicago-based indie songwriter Advance Base and regional artist Kristin Daelyn. One's called Carpenter's Dream and the other one is called The Twin," said Eric McBrien, a lead member of the band. "These two albums are a little bit more acoustic. Everything we do is somewhat acoustic, but these are more specifically acoustic arrangements." The Keene performance will serve as a live introduction to those records. "We're gonna be presenting both of these albums at the show which we're excited about," McBrien said. "It'll be a good opportunity to kind of check out some of our work as it's been written." While the band has gained attention beyond New England — including placements in television and recognition from national music outlets — their identity remains closely tied to the local scene that shaped them. "I'm very grateful to have the space in town that is representing artists from really all around the world," McBrien said. "It's been a great opportunity to play with so many talented people coming from different backgrounds."
