Now's your chance to shake off winter, grab your friends and explore the heart of downtown Brattleboro at the 9th Annual Bratt Luck Crawl, held on March 12 from 6 to 8 p.m. What began as the beloved "Bratt Love Crawl," in February has transformed into the high-spirited, shamrock-season celebration known as the Luck Crawl — and it's bringing even more energy to the streets this March. Hosted by the Downtown Brattleboro Alliance, this lively shop crawl is your golden ticket to discovering (or rediscovering!) everything Downtown Brattleboro has to offer — one delicious stop at a time. Spend the evening stroll through charming downtown streets, popping into local shops where distilleries, breweries, wineries, chocolatiers, confectioners and cheesemakers are ready to treat you to their very best samples. From handcrafted spirits and local brews to decadent chocolates and savory cheeses, there's something to delight every palate. Not into alcohol? No worries! There are plenty of tasty non-alcoholic options, so everyone can join the fun. Crawl attendees have two hours to hop from shop to shop, collecting stamps on their punch cards at each stop. There's no required route — you choose your own adventure! Take your time, visit your favorites first, or wander wherever your path leads you. And because this event is all about luck, the Downtown Brattleboro Alliance has added an extra twist to keep things exciting. Shoppers who make three purchases at any of the participating stores can bring their receipts back to DBA Headquarters (57 Elliot St., the official check-in spot) to be entered to win the Ultimate Downtown Brattleboro Prize Pack, valued at $250. Tickets are available online ahead of time or in person on the day of the crawl. Regular tickets are $20 and non-alcoholic tickets are $15. Check in on March 12 at 6 p.m. Head to the Downtown Brattleboro Alliance office at 57 Elliot Street to get your punch card listing all participating stops. This is also where the excitement begins — you'll see fellow crawlers gathering, comparing plans and getting ready to head out. Purchase a commemorative glass. While you're checking in, you'll have the option to purchase a signature commemorative shot glass, handcrafted by local artisans ZPOTS or Fire Arts. These beautiful glasses are not required for participation, but they make a perfect keepsake from the evening. If you have attended previous Bratt Crawls, feel free to dust off your old glass and bring it along! Keep in mind, these collectible glasses tend to sell out quickly — so arriving on time is your best bet if you want one.
