Lightning Strikes Again Here at The Rochester Opera House!

Coming soon to the stage here in Rochester, Vt., is the Theatre for Young Audiences production of "TheLightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical!" This 70-minute, one-act adaptation of the Broadway hit follows Percy Jackson, a young teen whose worldgets turned upside down when he learns he is a demigod. More specifically, the son of Poseidon. Afterbeing accused of stealing Zeus's lightning bolt, Percy and his new friends, Annabeth and Grover, go on across-country quest to stop a war among the gods, facing mythological monsters and discovering what ittruly means to be a hero. The musical blends contemporary humor, rock-infused songs and mythological adventure, emphasizingthemes of friendship, self-acceptance, and finding strength in being different.
