Is it a Find!?

Hello Dan, I used to collect small clocks. Many years back I sold them all and I found one I had forgotten about. I really do not know anything about it as I mainly focused on mantle clocks. Could you please provide any information you may have? Thanks, Rick Greetings Rick, Your clock came from a French WWI military aircraft. The case is aluminum and would have been mounted in the cockpit next to the altimeter and other gauges. It is marked "Allion a Versailles" and "Propriete de l'Aviation Militaire" which signifies the maker and being property of the French Military. Interestingly, the hands of the clock are luminous, thus it may have been used on a night bomber. Whether or not the internal Swiss made watch movement is functional, can greatly affect its value. If in running condition, your clock could sell for upwards of $250, if not, as little as half of that. These clocks are often mounted so they can be displayed or used on one's desk. Great piece of history you have. Thank you for taking the time to write in.
