Is it a Find!?

Hello Dan, I found these postcards tucked inside my grandfather's old college yearbook. They are dated 1918 and I think the postcards photos are of his classmates. I doubt they are real cowboys, and I find their outfits quite humorous. I might be wrong. Will you please share your opinion? Sincerely, T.K. Hello T.K., Thank you for the very unique question. Yes, these were staged photos and not of "real" cowboys. Just like today, postcards in the early 20th century were sent back from vacations. It was common to have an over-exaggerated photo taken in a studio and made into a postcard to be sent. I do find them quite humorous as well. Monetarily, they are worth approximately $15 to $20 a piece in retail setting. Perhaps there is a postal cancellation on the rear to indicate where they were sent from. They would make for a great conversation piece that could be easily framed. Thank you for taking the time to write in with your find. I look forward to others you may have.
