Color your day with The Monadnock Art Open Studio Art Tour, an intimate inside look of artist studios, from Oct. 11 to 13, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. The open studio tour is New England's oldest and largest weekend art tour and is a self-guided journey through the region's picturesque villages leading guests to 65 working studios. Visitors will view inspiring artworks and have the opportunity to discuss with the artists. Artwork will also be available for purchase. Do you like to read but one reason or another keeps you from joining a traditional book club? Look no further than Keene's Silent Book Club, a group of readers meeting monthly to read their books of interest in a group setting. The group will meet next on Saturday, Oct. 11, from noon to 2 p.m. at the Keene Public Library, 60 Winter St., Keene. Bring your book and join in on silent reading with opportunity to discuss your book with others. One of Scott Farm Orchard's largest annual events, Heirloom Apple Day, celebrates its 22nd year on Sunday, Oct. 12, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., at Scott Farm, 707 Kipling Rd., Dummerston, Vt. Visitors can taste 25+ varieties of apples, enjoy games, live music, food trucks and kids' activities. Also in attendance will be a gathering of apple and nuts experts, authors, cider makers and silvopasture experts: Gnarly Pippins, Meadowfed Lamb, Know Your Roots, Pomme_William, YellowBud Farm, Eden Cider and Billings Farm & Museum. Admission is free. Please refrain from bringing dogs. The Stonewall Farm hosts a Fall Jubilee event on Sunday, Oct. 12 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at their location 242 Chesterfield Rd., Keene. Celebrate Fall's splendor with adorable farm animals, lawn games, sack jumping, pumpkin bowling, horse-drawn wagon rides, live music by Dragonfly, festive foods and more. Bring a canned good donation for the Community Kitchen and receive $5 off the $15 make your own scarecrow activity. Admission is free but a $5 per person donation is suggested. Join The Keene Sentinel in celebrating the Extraordinary Women of our region on Thursday, Oct. 16 at 5:30 p.m. at the Keene Country Club, ADDRESS. This year's awardees represent a diverse cross section of female-identifying community members making lasting impact in our region.
