On Sunday, April 13, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., downtown Keene will transform into a wellness hub, offering a refreshing alternative to a traditional bar crawl. This exciting event invites you to explore a variety of health-focused businesses and activities, all while enjoying free demonstrations and opportunities to learn more about enhancing your well-being. Whether you're looking to improve your fitness routine, de-stress or discover new wellness practices, the Keene Heal Crawl is the perfect way to jumpstart a healthier lifestyle. Keene Heal Crawl, presented by Shadow and Soul Emporium and Tea Lounge of Keene, is a new event this year. "We are trying to grow an event organically, in hopes that people will catch on and focus on their health and wellness," explained Brandie Wells, of Shadow and Soul Emporium and Tea Lounge. "We are also trying to support small local businesses." Participants will have access to a variety of body work and energy sessions, including massage therapy and reiki. There will also be free demonstrations and classes, providing an opportunity to learn new techniques for improving overall health and well-being. Holistic healing options, such as acupuncture, will be available to help you achieve balance and relaxation. Spiritual readings will also be offered, allowing individuals to explore deeper connections and gain insight into their personal journeys. In addition to these services, there will be retail tools for self-healing, including natural remedies, essential oils and wellness products. Healthy foods and snacks will be available at various locations, offering nourishing options to fuel your body as you explore. The best part? It's completely free for businesses to participate in the event, and a map of all the participating locations will be available online, so you can easily plan your route. Some of the local businesses already signed up include: Margaritas Mexican Restaurant: Margaritas will be serving up healthy foods and they may also be a host site for chair massages. Cynthia Kelley: Kelley is a psychic medium and animal communicator who will be offering readings. Dan Deloge: Deloge is a massage therapist offering chair massage. Mickey Franz: Franz, of Better Life Acupuncture, will be offering community acupuncture treatments. Sabine Duran: Duran, of Camino Verde Wellness, will be offering biomagnetic therapy, which is effective on treating lyme, long-covid and autoimmune issues. Introspect Wellness: This medical spa of Keene will be offering facials and IV Infusions for pain and migraine treatments. They also have a vast array of other health services. Basic Balance Acupuncture: This acupuncture clinic will be offering a five-point treatment to promote balance and boost circulation and support overall wellness, which helps with pain and stress. Rebecca Marshall: Marshall, of Heart Medicine in Keene, does bodywork, reiki and somatic healing and will be offering some sessions. Shadow and Soul Emporium and Tea Lounge: They will have healthy foods, readers and will potentially be offering some energy healing.
